Dr. Lena Morales

Professor of Computer Science, University of Barcelona
Dr. Morales researches human-centered machine learning, participatory design, and accountability in automated decision systems. She has advised public agencies and international research collaboratives on responsible AI governance.

Arjun Patel

Former Policy Advisor, OECD Digital Governance Initiative
Arjun leads HCAIA’s strategy, partnerships, member programs, and policy convenings. His work focuses on building bridges between technical experts, public institutions, and community stakeholders.

Sophia Chen

Nonprofit Leader in Digital Equity
Sophia oversees HCAIA’s working groups, community labs, mentorship programs, and member engagement strategy. She brings more than 15 years of experience designing collaborative programs across technology and civil society.
